High interest, hidden charges

Reviewed and not recommended by Geoffrey on 20 Sep 2016

I have this credit card because they were the only institution that would approve me.

I find the interest rates very high and there a lot of hidden charges and fees. I pay more than the minimum payment each month and still can’t seem to get ahead.

If I could get approved by another bank I would transfer my balance in an instant, as long as the new provider had a better deal with some rewards. My current provider has no rewards program and I have been with them for over nine years.

My experience with GE Money MasterCard

Reviewed and recommended by Anon on 10 Jul 2013

Went in to a GE money office to pay my card off. They don’t take cash! Very annoyed and disappointed. I have a credit card with another bank and I use it to pay all my bills. It offers BPAY. I tried to BPAY my GE MasterCard account as per the GE statement. They wouldn’t accept a payment from a credit card account with a BPAY option. I don’t believe that they have the right to know or see what type of account I am making the payment from and when queried they did not provide me with an answer. So apart from their very limited payment options and poor customer service I am otherwise happy with the GE Money MasterCard and it’s rewards.
